Born and raised in south Florida. Dr. Ronald Levy attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate studies where he earned a degree in biochemistry with high honors. He remained at the University of Florida for medical school, and subsequently completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship training programs at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL where he also served as chief resident. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
He joined South Florida Gastroenterology in 2008, and has active hospital privileges at West Boca Medical Center and JFK Medical Center. Dr. Levy is well trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of gastroenterology including but not limited to irritable bowel syndrome, colon cancer prevention, reflux disease, Barretts esophagus, celiac sprue, inflammatory bowel disease, and Hepatitis management. He performs all routine diagnostic gastroenterology procedures including endoscopy, colonoscopy, video capsule endoscopy, pH Bravo probe monitoring, and office based non-surgical hemorrhoid banding therapy.
Dr. Levy has received various awards and distinctions throughout his career including membership to Phi Beta Kappa, and Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He is committed to providing state of the art care for you and your family in a caring, sensitive environment.
Dr. Levy sees patients at the Boca Raton office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and sees patients in the Atlantis office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday. He is currently accepting new patients.
